After my trip to Antwerp I added on four extra days to visit Amsterdam. To be completely honest I never really had Amsterdam at the top of my list of places to visit in Europe. I was so pleasantly surprised that it quickly became one of my favorite cities in the world. It could have been the people I met, its charming cobblestone streets, the endless canals, the adorable Dutch bikes or the perfect November weather we had. So much of my travel experiences come from the people I meet while I am there. This case was no different, as I mentioned before I met a dozen fabulous people in Antwerp. I connected particularly with my friend Robin, he is smart, well-rounded, charming, funny, the kind of person you want in your life for a long long time. We became quick pals after a week together in Antwerp. He's a real people person and runs a website called the The Citinerary. One of his many strengths is connecting like minded people together. He did just that, introducing me to the lovely Jeroen Woltman and Denise van Gastel who are behind Harvest & Company a gorgeous store Helmersbuurt. Jeroem finds amazing old industrial furniture and lighting fixtures. Denise has a great eye and brings it all together with her elegant touch. Such a beautiful well curated spot. Hope to see you in New York soon Jeroen ;) I fell in love with them all in the short period of time I was there. Here is my list of places that I enjoyed while in Amsterdam. I CANT wait to get back there.

Hey dudes! Sorry for the crickets over here. I was away in South America for a month and reeeeaaaally tried to unplug :) Well, I am back now and while I realize all eyes seem to be on instgram and not in the blog world anymore I still like to share here. While I was in Antwerp last November I had the pleasure to shoot Jan-Jan Van Essche's amazing studio/home and their Atelier Solarshop. Teamed up with my gal Zsuzsanna Toth we had the best time spending the afternoon with these two extremely talented guys. Read the whole interview and see more photos on Freunde von Freunden.
I wanted to share a couple shots from a recent shoot I did with J.M. Generals. We shot a beautiful selection of home goods in a Fort Greene carriage house. Luxurious cashmere throws, scented candles, and bath products made from goat milk. Super fun working with you Jeffrey!
I was up on location in Maine a few weeks ago for Food & Wine, more on that to come. My assistant Corinne and I made a few stops along the way. It's so quiet and sleepy up there this time of year. We tried to find a lobster roll and a bowl of chowder instead found many abandoned fishing villages closed up for the winter. Lovely in all its stillness, I can only imagine how it is in the summer. I'll be back.
These felt appropriate for this cold rainy weekend, ones where you just want to stay cuddled up in bed watching movies. Above are a couple shots from a recent shoot I did with Odette Williams. She designs beautifully made organic cotton basics for kids as well as these fun aprons! My favorite is this denim apron with stars. How cute are they? <3 kids! Have a nice weekend.
Earlier this month I was in Antwerp for a week. If you follow me on instagram you may recognize some of these familiar faces and places. I was invited to spend 5 days in Antwerp, Belgium by the tourism board. This is Antwerp created D.A.T.E (Discover Antwerp Through Experience) with the help of creative agency Walkie Talkie to put together quite the itinerary for us. They brought in 12 creatives from around the world to attend. I was lucky enough to be one of them and the only one from the states. The idea was to connect us with other local creatives and to see an off the beaten path view of Antwerp. Our days included workshops, a guided bike tour throughout the city (my personal fav), we eat tons of delicious food and drank lots of Belgian beer (obvi). We danced, we laughed (ALOT!) and we cried when we had to say goodbye. The twelve of us along with the team at Walkie Talkie became family during that week. Huge thank you to everyone involved, LOVE YOU ANTWERP! PS read Ebony's post, shes SO much better at writing and love her quirks! I can't even put into words the silliness that went down.
